Since first qualifying Charles has had an active interest in LOCs and passionately believes that LOCs are the forefront of progress in improvements in Eyecare.

Charles has worked as a LOCSU lead, building networks across the Midlands and was in the first accredited cohort of Lead Assessors for WOPEC. He has been very involved in service re-design and involved in multiple tenders resulting in the launch of enhanced services across the Midlands.

Charles lives in Warwickshire with his wife and can be found most Saturday afternoons watching Rugby or Cricket, probably telling them they’re not as good as in his day.

Charles’ portfolio optometric career has seen him holding various LOC roles and is currently a Non Executive Director of Primary Eyecare Services. Over the years he has been a LOCSU lead, an itinerant contact lens practitioner, director of a national group and independent practice owner.
